Core Curriculum: The Foundation of a Dominican Education
The core curriculum is the foundation and spirit of a Dominican education. It seeks to develop both intellectual excellence and moral integrity through a thoughtful and faith-guided progression of learning.
Foundational courses strengthen communication, reasoning, and scientific understanding, while values-oriented subjects deepen faith, character, and compassion. Learners are guided to reflect on truth, explore the world with curiosity and purpose, and recognize their role in serving others.
At the heart of this formation is the Dominican pursuit of Veritas — truth — which calls each student to integrate faith and reason in all aspects of life. The ultimate aim is to form leaders who live with integrity, serve with compassion, and work toward building a just and Christ-centered society.
Dominican Basic Education aims to nurture and develop each learner’s talents, intellect, and character through meaningful and age-appropriate learning experiences inspired by the Dominican tradition of prayer, study, community, and service. Guided by the pursuit of truth and compassion, the program seeks to form students who learn with purpose, live with faith, and lead with integrity in the service of others.
